Federal Government Announces Rebate

$2000 towards the cost of your LPG conversion.

The Federal government has announced a rebate scheme to encourage the use of LPG fueled vehicles for private motorists. Effective as of July 1st 2009 the scheme provides for a rebate of up to $2,000 for factory fitted LPG systems and a $1,750 rebate for retrofit or aftermarket installations. Motorists who are living in WA receive an additional $1000 rebate under their current state funded scheme.

The rebate will also be reduced over time. On the 1/7/2010 it will go down to $1,500. On the 1/7/2011 it will become $1,250 and finally on the 1/7/2012 it will become $1,000.

The rebate is open to any person who converts their vehicle or purchases a new LPG vehicle which is used for private or personal use.
